What it is
The Black Tie Facial is a results-led facial designed for men. A deep cleanse, exfoliation and a visible refresh, done properly in forty-five minutes and built around skin that shaves.
Most facials on offer to men are a women's treatment with the name changed. This one is not. Male skin is thicker, oilier and shaved several times a week, and the protocol accounts for all three.
It sits at the practical end of the menu. There are no needles, nothing is injected and there is no planned downtime, which is why men book it for the week of a wedding, a pitch or a photograph rather than months out.
The exact steps are set for your skin on the day rather than run off a fixed script, and a practitioner will tell you at the start what is worth doing and what is not. The products are from the CLINICCARE range.
It is the men's counterpart to the Cinderella facial our sister clinic runs. Same standard of protocol, entirely different assumptions about the face it is going on.
Who it’s for
- Men with something in the diaryA wedding, a pitch, a photograph, a court date. Booked for the week of it rather than the month before.
- Men whose skin has had enoughShaving, weather, screens and not enough sleep. This is the reset, not a cure for any of it.
- Men who have never had a facialA good number of ours have not. Nobody will make a thing of it and nothing is expected of you beyond sitting still.
- Men who want to start somewhere smallNo needles and nothing permanent. If you want to see how this clinic operates before committing to anything else, start here.
- Men aged 18 and overWe treat adult men only, and suitability is confirmed in clinic.
None of that gets decided on a web page. It gets decided in a private room, and if the answer is no, you hear it there.
What a course looks like
- A look at your skinA short assessment at the start of the appointment. What is worth doing and what is not gets said out loud before anything begins.
- Cleanse and exfoliateThe groundwork, and the part most men have never had done properly. Adjusted for skin that gets a blade across it several times a week.
- The treatment itselfSet for your skin on the day using the CLINICCARE range rather than run from a fixed script.
- FinishThe whole appointment runs around forty-five minutes. There is no planned downtime and you can go straight back to work.
- AftercareWritten aftercare before you leave, including the two or three things actually worth doing at home.

File 04 / Honest expectations
What we will not tell you.
The parts a clinic page usually leaves out. A facial is a small thing, and it should be sold like one.
It is a finish, not a transformation
This treats the surface. It will not change your bone structure, it will not undo a decade, and anyone selling a facial as though it does is having you on.
It does not last
The effect is exactly as temporary as it sounds. Men who like it come back every few weeks. That is a running cost, and you should know it before the first appointment.
It is not a treatment for a skin condition
If something on your skin is changing, painful, or has not settled, that is a GP conversation and not a facial. We will say so and we will not book you in instead.
Skin can react
Some men get short-lived redness afterwards. It is normal, it settles, and it is worth knowing if you have booked something for that same evening.
It will not fix what sleep would
Nothing in this room competes with rest, water and stopping smoking. We would rather tell you that than sell you a course of six.
Questions men actually ask
What is the Black Tie Facial?
It is a results-led facial built for men: a deep cleanse, exfoliation and a visible refresh, delivered in a private treatment room using the CLINICCARE range.
Where can I have the Black Tie Facial in Manchester?
At our Manchester clinic, 6 Minshull Street, M1 3ED. We also have clinics in Wilmslow and Leeds. Ask about availability at your preferred clinic when you enquire.
How long does the Black Tie Facial take?
Around forty-five minutes front to back, including the short skin assessment at the start of the appointment.
Is there any downtime after a facial?
There is no planned downtime and most men go straight back to work. Some get short-lived redness afterwards, which settles on its own.
How soon before an event should I book it?
The week of it works well for most men. If it is your first facial with us, leaving a few days rather than a few hours is the sensible call.
Is this a facial for men specifically?
Yes. Male skin is thicker, oilier and shaved several times a week, and the protocol is built around that rather than adapted from a women's treatment.
